Have you considered going into real estate or real estate investment? If so, you’re not alone! The field is one of few that allow you to be your own boss, work your own schedule, and make great money. However, success doesn’t come easily and it’s important that you take every opportunity to learn before diving head-first into the opportunities.

As one of the leading experts in the real estate realm, you could say that Jacques Poujade knows the field well. As the managing partner at LendPlus, Jacques Poujade is passionate about teaching others how to thrive in the real estate field. Here is our executive spotlight on Jacques Poujade.

Why is now a good time to begin a career in real estate?

We are living through a unique time. With the Covid-19 pandemic, I’ve been seeing a lot of people wonder how they can truly live the lives they want and not rely so heavily on their nine-to-five jobs.

Now that mortgage rates hit all-time lows, real estate is a great opportunity for anyone willing to work hard to achieve their goals, especially for those with a creative, innovative set of ideas they can bring to the unique environment that we find ourselves in. The Texas Mortgage Pros offers a range of mortgage options, and for refinancing at https://thetexasmortgagepros.com/purchase-loans/ and provides borrowers the choice to do a traditional rate-and-term refi, a cash-out refi to draw from equity or a streamline refinance on government-backed loans. A real estate executive search team can also help you on this.

What should new real estate investors keep an eye out for in this changing environment?

It’s important that new (and old!) real estate investors keep an eye out for opportunity. Many are saying that it’s a difficult time to be in real estate because the market is unpredictable.

I’m here to remind you that the market is always unpredictable and with the right amount of creativity, you can use others’ fears to guide you to the best opportunities (they’re around every corner!).

What piece of advice would you give to a budding real estate investor?

Find your best balance. I’ve met a lot of budding entrepreneurs and real estate professionals that work hard, but don’t have fun.

Likewise, I’ve met a lot that have fun, but don’t work hard. Neither one of these mindsets will bring you the success you’re looking for in the field.

It’s important that you find the balance where you can truly enjoy to the work of a real estate investor, but don’t downplay the effort that goes into being successful at it.

What are you most interested in doing next?

Now that so many of us are working remotely, I’m interested to see what more I can do digitally with my clients. While many real estate professionals see this virtual world as a hinderance, I’m excited to see how I can begin expanding my business through the power (and newfound normalcy) of meeting and working online!

What does the future of real estate look like?

The future of real estate is global. I think that we’ll see a lot more people expand their horizons and begin looking outside the neighbourhoods they’ve always lived in.

With so many people working remote and companies looking to make these virtual offices a permanent transition, I don’t see what’s stopping my local clients from finding a house in Hawaii or the Bahamas.
