Syrian Revolution: Path to Sharia Law
U.S. Backs Wahhabist Extremists, 26-12-2012 - 23:20
The so-called Syrian Revolution is being led by Wahhabist extremists against the rational secular government of Bashar al-Assad. The U.S. backed Wahhabists are seeking to overthrow the stable government of al-Assad to further escalate tensions between Iran and Israel. Once again U.S. foreign policy is in the same filthy gutter of deception where the GW Bush regime left off. Some change, eh?

Christian Zionists Fuel Never Ending Warfare
Anti-war Agnostic Alligator, 15-11-2012 - 19:03
The Zionists in Israel and the U.S. (Christian Zionists) are encouraging the proliferation of the military-industrial complex with their escalation of religious warfare against the occupied Palestinians. The AIPAC lobby and military weapons contractors give campaign contributions to both Democrats and Republicans, making both status quo political parties of the U.S. puppets of greedy individuals bent on never ending warfare with soldiers and civilians paying the ultimate price with their lives.

EU-Israel trade deal/Letter to EU's Ashton
Astrid Essed, 27-10-2012 - 22:36
With the approval of the European Parliament of the ACAA trade agreement with Israel,
the EU sets further steps in supporting Israel, despite its occupation, illegal
settlements policy and warcrimes
This and the EU international role of political, economical and military domination and exploitation of the Thirld World, the inhuman asylumpolicy, the wars in Kosovo, Iraq, Afghanistan and the Trojka starvation of the Greeks, makes the Nobelprize for Peace to the EU a mockery of Justice

Real IRA Leader A. Ryan Killed by Drug Dealer
Brian Whelan, 26-10-2012 - 19:53
The murder of Real IRA leader Alan Ryan by Dublin's drug cartel is a tragedy as Alan stood up for the oppressed and demanded a community tax from the drug gangs. The drug cartels should pay for the damage that they cause in the community and Alan Ryan realized this. From my perspective Alan Ryan is the true martyr in the "war on drugs" who was killed for standing up to bully drug gangs. God bless Alan Ryan for his courage against evil!!

Medea Benjamin's keynote address at the Peace House 30th anniversary celebration
Allen Hallmark, 22-10-2012 - 15:23
An abridged introduction from author Allen Hallmark follows...
Today I decided to share an article about Medea Benjamin's speech last Friday evening (Nov. 19, 2012). I believe that what she had to say about Pakistan and drone warfare is important enough to ask you to consider reading this longish article, which I composed this morning from my notes. Thanks.
Medea Benjamin is one of the co-founders of CodePink and Global Exchange and has been a powerful advocate for peace and economic and social justice for the past 30 years. She was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize along with other women in 2005 and was the 2010 recipient of the Martin Luther King Jr. Peace Prize.
Medea is just back from Pakistan where she was a leader of a delegation of peace and justice advocates who went there to show Pakistanis that there are many Americans who want the U.S. to stop killing Pakistani civilians with drone attacks. She received the Marjorie Kellogg National Peacemaker Award at the Peace House 30th Anniversary Dinner at Southern Oregon University on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2012. Ms. Benjamin’s most recent book, Drone Warfare: Killing by Remote Control, was published earlier this year and informed the speech she gave at the Peace House dinner. Keep reading to see my summary of her speech...

Why Asylum For Julian Assange Is Central To T
James Justice, 17-08-2012 - 23:15
If there were a lightening rod to energize political apathy in this heavily propagandized world democratic right of dissent, such as to challenge corrupt government practice, should be it. But certain U. S. leaders’ apparent intention to incarcerate and punish Julian Assange for leaking U.S. secrets puts our black methods in the limelight. What were his motives and equally what has been the character of U.S. foreign policy? It seems revelations were meant to highlight U.S. corruption as people around the world have come to fear American brutality. Many around the globe know the United States as a rogue bully of an empire that regularly uses intimidation to get its way. It takes a real macho government to push around countries like Ecuador, Sweden and lapdog England. As has been shown over and over the United States does not respect law, legal distinctions or diplomatic norms.

Understanding Trade, our Local Economy and WALMART

THE SOUTHERN OREGON WALMART CAMPAIGN
As Walmart celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, we will paint the true story of Walmart and how they undermine our values and re-write the rules of our society. We have plenty of fodder here in Southern Oregon! Walmart continues to be prolific with stores in Grants Pass, Klamath Falls, Talent, Eagle Point and now being constructed is the monstrous new eyesore, the Walmart superstore going up near the South Medford interchange of Interstate-5.
NEW LOOK — OLD CAMPAIGN
Southern Oregon Jobs with Justice is itching to organize and involve area activists in taking a new look at an old campaign. We the 99% are ready to focus on the 1% who have stolen our democracy. There is no better place to start than Walmart. Look at this new website which shows us the Walmart — 1% connection:
http://www.jwj.org/blog/1-behind-walmart
SOJwJ is looking for a few hard-core-planners who are ready to roll up sleeves and get to work. We will creatively put together a big educational lesson plan for Southern Oregon: "Understanding Trade, our Local Economy and WALMART." Serious inquiries only!
