Basic Income still needed for local Artisians

Aidan, 26.11.2012 01:48

The weather is getting cold, creative social spaces and dwellings need your support now.

Do not judge me. Please assist myself and other homeless artists by providing basic income and housing.

I choose not to work in a "traditional" way and am not perfect. My weakness for alcohol and my doctor-prescribed medicinal marijuana requirements make regular work difficult for me. Also, I don't believe in paying money for housing since basic shelter should be provided by a wealthy society such as ours. What I do bring to the table is wood carving skills. I use basic hand tools to make art and toys out of recycled wood. The generosity of the Gold Hill residents have allowed me to eat and live on this earth since last spring. However, much more is needed and I've been asked to leave Gold Hill by my current sponsor. I now have 2 kittens and 3 dogs(1 new puppy) to care for and I require a strict vegan diet. I'm not picky but will not accept food from Walmart, Safeway or Fred Meyer(Ashland Co-op ok!). Also, myself and a group of other artisans need transportation to and from San Francisco to attend a week long gender workshop.

Corporate-type comrades in Ashland and Medord with money need to support alternative lifestyle persons so that we are not marginalized or forgotten. Please continue to provide money, shelter and quality food - it is very appreciated.

You might try Craigslist. Rogue IMC is not a chat board.
