Community Resources in Medford?

Aidan, 14.02.2012 00:07

I'm currently in Portland supporting Occupy but will be getting a free place to stay in Medford soon.

While I've lived in Medford before, I need information on where food banks and such are. I am unable to work or volunteer at this time but need regular access to vegan food. Churches are great but the food they give out is mainly bread and such (certainly not organic).

Also, does Medford have a free bike program? I had to leave my last bike at the suncrest rest area with my dogs last summer. I am not a bum! I'm just trying to deal with chemical-dependency issues but am confident I will someday be able to give back to the community. I prefer to work under the table and using my hands to make art or craft goods. I can carve wood but I'm not mechanically inclined nor do I wish to utilize my college education to support capitalism and the suffering it causes. I lost my tools but don't need much to start making crafts again. Please advise.
