GREENS HOST TALK ON VERTICAL AXIS WIND TURBINES
The meeting will be held, Sunday, January 31st at the Ashland Public Library and will begin with a social hour/ potluck at 6:00 PM. The talk by Randy Warren will start at 7:00 PM. There is no charge and the event is open to the public.
As part of an ongoing series exploring ways to live sustainably, the Jackson County Greens will be presenting a talk by Randy Warren on alternative energy sources; photo voltaic solar and wind power.
Mr. Warren and his son Stuart started Green e Technologies in Talent, Oregon and have focused on solar and wind turbine electric generating installations throughout Southern Oregon and Northern California. Some of the their major projects have been the solar panels on top of the Ashland Historic Armory and 17 wind turbines at the Holiday Inn in Weed, CA. While having extensive experience with commercial applications Mr. Warren’s talk will focus on residential and urban applications for vertical axis wind turbines. After our recent wind storms, this is a great time to explore the potential of clean energy from natural power.
