New York City labor singer George Mann sings songs of labor activism from
the last century and his own compositions--powerful and funny takes on the
state of the nation. His latest CD is "Into the Fire" features 12 new
songs for your enjoyment. George has toured for years and produced the
"Hail to the Thief" anti-Bush CD with many luminaries of the folk music
world.
Mark Ross is America's most famous unknown folksinger. He is a
multi-instrumentalist, IWW organizer, agitator, activist and former
sideman for Utah Phillips.
The concert is sponsored by the Southern Oregon Central Labor Council and
Southern Oregon Jobs with Justice, a coalition of labor, religion,
student, and community activists and organizations committed to protecting
the basic human rights of men and women. The Mission of Southern Oregon
Jobs With Justice is to improve working people's standard of living, job
security and workers' right to organize.
