Forest Biomass Forum
When: Wed, May 6, 7pm – 8pm
Where: Harris Hall - 8th and Oak, Eugene, OR
Description: Wildfire Hysteria and "Forest Biomass" Greenwash - a public forum sponsored by Eco Advocates (eco-advocates.org) and SustainEugene.org
Fall Creek Hike
When: Sat, May 9, 10am – 5pm
Where: Meet at the parkinglot behind Kinkos on 13th and Willamette in Eugene (map)
Description: Hike through old growth in Fall Creek just 45 minutes from Eugene that may get cut under WOPR.
Marbled Murelet survey
When: Fri, May 15, 4pm – Sat, May 16, 5pm
Where: Elliot State Forest/nearby areas
Description: Hosted with the University of Oregon Outdoor Program. This overnight trip will teach how to survey for these endangered birds.
Busking festival
When: Sun, May 17, 2pm – 6pm
Where: Monroe Park 10th and Monroe
Description: Come for a fun day in the park with Cascadia Summer! Bring instruments, facepaints, hula hoops and donations. This will be an informal fundraiser; we request that all funds made at this festival be donated to Cascadia Summer.
Eugene Forest Gathering

Timber Auction
When: Wednesday, May 20, 2009
Where: Coos Bay
Description: Come witness our public forests get auctioned off to rich people.
Action Camp!
When: May 23 – 25 2009
Where: Meeting in Eugene and heading to the Forest, meeting location TBA
Description: Come spend the weekend in the forest and learn the skills you need to plug in a be a part of Cascadia Summer 2009. This is the best way to become as involved as you'd like and learn lots of important skills along the way.
Rally! Board of Forestry
When: Wed, May 27, 12pm – 2pm
Where: 87950 Territorial Rd Veneta, OR (at the only stoplight in Venetia, turn south on Territorial Rd)
Description: This rally will urge the State of Oregon to adopt Federal ethics/anti-corruption standards in relation to the Oregon Board of Forestry by revoking the current statute that permits three members of the BOF to have significant financial conflict of interest and replacing it with a new statute that adopts the Federal Standard.
