The "5 Years Is 5 Too Many" Rally & March to mark the 5th anniversary of the US invasion of Iraq will be held from 11 am to 1 pm Saturday, March 15th, at Alba Park in Medford. We'll rally around the gazebo, be inspired by some brief speeches and live music and then we'll march through downtown Medford and back to Alba Park for more music and speeches. We hope all of you will join us on March 15th to show the valley that we still oppose this illegal war and want our troops home NOW!
The 4,000 US soldiers Have Died rally. We are planning to rally in the small parking lot at the Rogue Valley Mall at 1 pm on the Saturday following the death of the 4,000th. There will be live music and speeches and then we'll march around the perimeter of the mall. US deaths have been averaging about 33 a month for the past three or four months. It may be that the 4,000th death may happen about the time that our 5th anniversary rally is planned, in which case we'll have one big event, instead of two.
Please let me know if you have questions or want to help with the planning and organization of one or more of these events. Yours for peace & justice, Allen Hallmark 855-2312
