Today's show was one of the most fun ever! We highlighted the LSSI privatization of the Jackson County Library System and the newest development in this Orwellian saga. Enter the implication of the Successorship Doctrine. This is the federal law which mandates that union busting can not be done. Today's show had guest interviews with Buck Eichler who is President of the SEIU represented Jackson County Employees Association and with Pauline Black who is employed by LSSI as a Clerk at the Ashland, Oregon library. Because of the Successorship Doctrine Pauline Black will have a voice at work with union representation, again. And that stands for workers at ALL 15 libraries of the Jackson County Library System which are now being run by private corporation LSSI.

So sorry if this is a repeat email to you. I wanted to make sure you hear about today's radio show that shines the light on privatization and how SEIU has fought back an out-of-state company that has taken over our "public" Jackson County Library System. Please listen to the show. You can skip the first 1/2 if you want to go right to the interviews where you will hear a couple of member-activist-workers stand up tall for working people. I am very proud to share this with you.

Having a three way conversation with Buck on the phone and both Pauline and myself in the studio, was exactly what is meant when we talk about "member made labor media" and I offer it up as one of the best examples we have ever presented. Support from SEIU 503 District 4 for the Brain Labor Report has been terrifice. The coffee for Wes, Jason and guests helps. Just imagine how we would sound if we were not waking up with caffeine!
