Unete Presents and evening presentation by the BORDER ANGELS
Join us in warm welcome to this goodhearted organization that looks out for our Indigenous People who risk their lives to make a better life for their families and communities.
At the risk and cost of their own lives and well-being, they question the laws that separate us as people, help traveling immigrants who are hunted for wanting a better quality of life. Their mission is to help those in need of food, shelter, water, representation and hospital care. They are some of the unsung heroes who look after the people in times of strife and difficulty, when all hope seems to be lost. In a world where Indigenous People are told to forget their traditions, their customs and beliefs, their very way of life, there are still some who do what is right because it is right; to help and serve others without question, without concern for their own lives because it is in their hearts.
Please some to join us in a potluck and gratitude ceremony; to give back a little bit to those who selflessly look out for the safety and well-being of our traveling brothers and sisters; our Human Family.
WHERE: 1st United Methodist Church, 607 W. Main St., Medford (downstairs)
WHEN: Thursday, Feb. 7, 6 p.m.
Come give your support and learn the truth about what is happening in and around our borders--what doesn't get reported in the news. . . . .
THIS EVENT IS SUPPORTED BY THE RED EARTH DESCENDANTS AND WHISTLING ELK DRUM, which will be present and offer blessings with songs for the People.
