Philip Dine on the Brain Labor Report
"State of the Unions" Book Review, 12.12.2007 10:25
Maybe we shouldn't be an errand boy for the Democrat Party who seem to take us for granted? was one strand of the topic of conversation on today's edition of the Brain Labor Report radio program.
These words are not in quotes, but a paraphrase from Philip Dine. Today I talked with Mr. Dine about his new book: "State of the Unions: How Labor Can Strengthen the Middle Class, Improve Our Economy, and Regain Political Influence" (McGraw-Hill 2007).

Enthused upon seeing Philip Dine on CSPAN's "Book TV" earlier this month (12/2/07) I was able to make contact and schedule him as our guest interview for today's radio show. This guy is great! He understands labor very well having been a 20 yr. reporter with the St. Louis Post Dispatch newspaper (introduced on the CSPAN show as- the best labor reporter in the country) and I am sending to you the strong recommendation that you read his book and consider Phil Dine's analysis of our failing labor movement and more importantly his ideas for how to rebound and become a strong force again.
I'm sending you this note because it is rare for me to become so enthused and charged up. I want to encourage you to check out Phil Dine's new book and see if this might spark within you some enthusiasm, too. We can rebuild our failing labor movement!
Clearly it is time to stop doing things the same old way expecting different results!
