“The Fourth World War”

Shot on five continents over more than two years, The Fourth World War writes a new chapter in history, setting down the untold story of the citizen movements that have sprung up all over the planet. The film was produced through a global network of independent media and activist groups, offering convincing proof that the term “anti-globalization movement” is a misnomer.

It was filmed simultaneously on the front lines of conflicts in Mexico, Argentina, South Africa, Palestine, Korea, Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as during the summit meeting protests in Seattle, Genoa and Quebec City. The Fourth World War contrasts the war without end—a global conflict, one that shatters and divides—with the inspiring struggles of men and women who resist oppression, injustice and violence.
