Organizational members assembled representing Southern Oregon Central Labor Counci, Oregon Fair Trade Campaign, Jackson County Pacific Green Party, Klamath Siskiyou Wildlands, and Disabled United (DUDE). Representative from Unete' discussed immigration rights, the activities of Unete' and planned May Day actions.

Steve Ryan, SOJwJ board member and RVTD board candidate was on hand representing students, remarking on student activism that "students have been involved in this ever since the Freedom Rides of the 1960's"

One of the first acts was to show solidarity for the Save Our Libraries campaign. Volunteers with the campaign were available for questions and for encouraging support.
