GOING HOLLYWOOD an evening of short films and excerpts from the 1930's and 1940's In the '30's and '40's a theater goer could expect not just a feature film but a whole visual banquet. You would see a newsreel, a chapter from a serial, a cartoon and a variety of short films. There were UNUSUAL OCCUPATIONS, POPULAR SCIENCE, TRAVELTALKS and many other titles. GOING HOLLYWOOD will also feature lavish musical numbers from feature films. Some in elegant black and white and some in vibrant Technicolor. Technicolor was the first full color process and it produced brilliant hues. GOING HOLLYWOOD is at 7 PM Saturday April 28, 2007 Meese Auditorium S.O.U. Arts Building Parking Behind the Schneider Museum of Art
This is a FREE show Presented by The S.O.U. Art Department and me Steven Mayerson
