AND NOW THE NEWS…

RogueIMC.org story about Medford anti-war rally included on the front page of the United States Indymedia site:  http://indymedia.us/en/index.shtml (collection of all the various IMC sites in this country) and find the CPJ banner. It’s not a feature (big story in center), but a newswire on the right hand column. Newswires tend to move quickly downward on the page so it won't be there in a day or two, but never-the-less there you can find Helga's photo of the CPJ banner (and link to the rogue indy story)  http://rogueimc.org/en/2007/03/8075.shtml - info from Wes Brain from the Rogue IMC. – to be a volunteer reporter click this link below:

Renaming of squaw peak, Ashland, Or. To Taowhywee - On the private land of Sulara (aka Robin James) and Scott Young there is a peak that has been unofficially known as squaw peak. It is said that ceremony and powwows were held at the foot of this peak (see attached photo) by the Native Americans who lived in this area near Ashland, Oregon. Since the term "squaw" is offensive to Native Americans – complete story follow link :  http://www.kskq.org/public/viewtopic.php?p=240

Dear KSKQ Members, Please sign the following petition to be delivered to congress regarding the recent royalty fee spike/exploitation of the RIAA:  http://www.petitiononline.com/SIR2007r/petition.html

http://www.somafm.com is a major online radio station from the bay area that will be practically shut down by these new fees. We should refuse to pay royalty fees altogether.
