Ashland, Oregon

In a scene straight out of Charles Dickens, some thirty Jefferson State residents gathered outside the Ashland Springs hotel to announce in song the rebirth of a campaign that has been going on since 1997.

This doesn't appear on the list of rogueimc's Upcoming Events. Seems like this would be a good event to post there!

It would make a great event on the calendar! The calendar is open to the community like the newswire is. Please feel free to add events to it yourself, it's easy and will be seen by many in the progressive community.

You can add an event here (this link can also be found in the upper left of the Rogue IMC front page):  http://protest.net/rogueimc/index.cgi?add_an_event=1&list=&state_values=

Amy Goodman a Big Hit in Red State
11.04.2005 - 20:18
Like a Hendrix concert for me!!

Amy Goodman made two appearances in Nebraska last Sat. (04/09). In Omaha she spoke to a packed crowd of about 300, where she received a standing ovation.
She then appeard in Lincoln - about 50 miles away in a theater of 300 seats which filled up, forcing them to turn several dozen people away. I was one of those so I'm not sure how the crowd reacted there, but Lincoln is downright liberal compared with Omaha so I think we can assume it was pretty favorable. We passed out Indymedia flyers outside aftward and it was almost as easy as passing out dollar bills so I think it went over well! She said that Democracy Now is being picked up by an average of 2 new stations a week!!
